Linda O'Neal for Austin City Council District 9 Campaign
Job Location (Other):
The Linda O'Neal for City Council District 9 campaign is seeking applications for two internship positions. Interns do not have to be from Austin to apply however we do ask that applicants carry with them some basic knowledge of District 9. Interns will be charged with a variety of tasks and work together to accomplish them. This is not a errand-based internship; we are a grassroots campaign and your skills and passions will be put to adequate use moving forward in the campaign. Each applicant will be expected to come equipped with a well charged laptop and/or cellular phone. Duties may include such tasks as answering e-mails, responding to inquiries made on social media platforms, and researching current events and creating one-pagers. Interns will work in close collaboration with both the campaign manager and candidate; discretion is a must. Interns who are brought on will be expected to devote no more than ten to fifteen hours a week split up into a minimum of two hour shifts. Interns will be expected to carry on with the internship right up through Election Day on November 6th, 2018. Upon completion of the internship, all interns will receive a well written letter of recommendation from either or both the candidate and the campaign manager.
Applicants who wish to be considered for the internships will send a resume to the campaign manager's email: email@example.com. A cover letter is appreciated but not required.
