Job Description: Summary: High-stakes, fast-paced attorney general’s campaign is seeking highly qualified, talented, and motivated interns to work in the finance, communications, and policy departments. Flexible start and end dates, but immediate start and availability until November 6 preferred. Duties: Finance: • Support the call time operation that includes a minimum of 25 hours of call time per week • Conduct and oversee donor research of prospective donors • Work with the Finance Director to implement an aggressive finance plan • Staff the candidate at meetings with potential donors • Manage follow-up communication with pledged donors and prospective donors • Help track and manage the team’s progress in fundraising • Manage relationships with donors • Other duties as assigned Communications: • Assist in the daily management of social media feeds • Work with the Research and Communications Directors to synthesize policy issues for messaging • Assist in the creation of messaging materials • Other duties as assigned Policy: • Analyze conduct research on pressing statewide legal policy issues • Write and organize policy statements • Write briefings for candidate on a wide array of legal policy issues • Work with the Research and Communications Directors to synthesize policy issues for messaging • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Candidates seeking or holding a bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. All interns: Demonstrated interest in progressive politics and political races. Ability and willingness to work under close deadlines in a fast-paced working environment. Must have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. Discretion and common sense necessary. Previous campaign experience a plus. Communications interns: Expertise with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram required. Graphic design experience preferred. Salary: Stipend provided; possibility of additional compensation based on intern performance.
