Fellow at MJ For Texas

The MJ Hegar for Texas Congressional Campaign is now accepting resumes for internship and fellowship positions. Positions are part time, unpaid, and can be completed for academic credit. Interns and fellows are a vital part of our operation, play a key role in building excitement in communities and campuses throughout the district, and will gain invaluable work experience. Internships provide a tremendous opportunity to learn first hand about the tools and methods that community organizers, finance staff, and campaign managers use to run an effective political campaign. Responsibilities will vary, but include: Finance - Planning and execute fundraising events - Assisting with donor prospecting and research - Fundraising database management Field - Coordinating community outreach - Volunteer recruitment and management Communications - Assisting with graphic design and social media - Drafting press releases and compiling news clips Research - Contributing to policy research and other projects The MJ For Texas campaign looks to hire internally whenever possible, and exceptional interns would be top candidates for full-time positions.
