Job Description: 
The Texas League of Conservation Voters is now accepting application for our fall internship, which will be from August 28-December 8, 2017. Please apply by Friday, July 14th at 5 p.m. to be considered. The Texas League of Conservation Voters works to preserve and enhance the quality of life of Texans by making conservation a top priority with Texas elected officials, political candidates and voters. When we succeed, all conservation groups and issues benefit. With money and other resources, we help elect candidates in Texas who will fight for clean air, clean water, and conserve land, water, fish and wildlife. Requirements: • Interest in the political and conservation movements in Texas and nationally • Microsoft Office knowledge • Demonstrated ability to learn • Flexible schedule • Familiarity with non-profit structure • Strong writing skills • Acute attention to detail • Driven to meet and exceed goals • Knowledge of donor database systems (such as NGP or EveryAction) Job Responsibilities: • Maintain database and spreadsheets • Create event materials • Conduct donor and political research • Prepare mailings and solicitations • Draft communications to promote TLCV • Help plan events and logistics • Assist with other projects as needed TLCV will work with the applicant if needed to gain course credit.
