Job Description: 
Texas State Senator, Charles Perry, is seeking applicants for a full-time (30 hours minimum) paid internship during the 86th Legislative Session. Ideal applicants should be of good character, interested in the legislative process, willing to assist the office with administrative duties and be willing to learn. This internship will provide the selected candidate with real world job experience, and an inside look in how the legislative process works. Applicants should have strong communication skills, be well-versed with Microsoft Office, organized, and be self-motivated. The intern is expected to: Be honest Treat others with respect Be a team player Answer the phone Greet guest to the office Data Entry Assist with constituent correspondence Support policy staff when necessary The internship will begin in January and will last until the end of May in the State Capitol. Start and end dates will be negotiated during the interview process.
