Job Description: 
State Representative César Blanco is seeking applicants for a Legislative Intern position at his Capitol office during the 86th Legislative Session (Spring 2019). This internship will offer students the opportunity to work with a team of passionate public policy professionals, advance their interest in public service, and gain valuable employment experience. Benefits: Interns will have many opportunities for professional development and education.  Direct participation in the legislative process  Networking, possible employment opportunities and/or references  Course credit if offered by your school Responsibilities: Interns will be asked to take on the following tasks:  Draft one-pagers and memos on policy issues and legislation;  Draft talking points, press releases, and op-eds;  Draft constituent letters and assist with managing constituent correspondence;  Answering phones and greeting visitors; and  Additional duties assigned as appropriate. Qualifications: Strong applicants will have the following skills and qualities:  Currently enrolled in college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student;  Punctuality, an attention to detail, and strong organizational skills;  Strong work ethic and good communication skills; and  A passion for public service and the legislative process.
