Legislative Intern

The Office of Senator Judith Zaffirini is looking for interns seeking experience within the Texas Legislature. Interns will assist the Senator and her staff by conducting policy research, assisting with constituent casework, preparing the Senator for committee hearings, attending meetings and events related to Capitol business, writing letters and memoranda, and developing potential legislation. Qualified applicants will possess strong organization skills, excellent written and oral communication ability, positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take direction, and personal accountability for work done. The work schedule can be flexible; however, candidates ideally must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week. Candidates may apply for a semester, summer, or multiple semesters.
