Job Description: 
State Representative Ina Minjarez is seeking highly motivated and energetic applicants for an unpaid internship position in the Capitol Office, beginning immediately. The successful candidate will : • possess strong research and writing skills • demonstrate the ability to work both independently and in a group setting • maintain an eye for detail • express an interest in the legislative process , state policy issues and serving their community • be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student or have graduated with an undergraduate degree • Ability to work in a fast paced setting • be proficient with most routine computer programs Job Description: Duties will include: • answering phones , general clerical duties and data entry • assisting with constituent case work and correspondence • greeting office visitors and guests • opening and distributing mail to staff • assisting with calendaring and scheduling items for the Representative and staff • creating reports for staff on events or meetings attended on behalf of the Representative • assisting with legislative research and working directly with the Legislative Director on policy for the special session. • performing other administrative tasks and duties as assigned and directed.
