Job Description: 
The office of State Representative Giovanni Capriglione is seeking a legislative intern for the upcoming 86th Legislative Session. This staff position is crucial to the success of the office, and will be held accountable for the following responsibilities: a) Legislative research -- organizing and tracking bill recommendations and fliers, attending meetings, hearings, and briefings, etc.; b) Assisting with office duties -- answering phone calls, greeting guests, meeting with special interest groups, etc.; c) Some administrative tasks -- using the Correspondence Management System, coordinating meeting requests, sorting mail, etc.; d) Supporting the office staff in various requests. Dates for the internship are Wednesday, January 23, 2019 through Monday, May 27, 2019. Applicants must be proactive, responsible, professional, and detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills, and an interest in the legislative process. Ideal candidates will be able to work well under pressure, and be self-motivated. Preference will be given to those applicants who can fill the hours of 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
