Job Description: 
Are you interested in beginning a career in politics and learning about the Texas legislative process? The office of Senator Donna Campbell is looking for an office management intern for Fall 2021. The selected intern must be an undergraduate student or above and must be able to work in the Capitol office for approximately 15-20 hours a week. Duties include providing and aiding with general office management, maintaining the staff calendar, assisting staff and the Senator as she conducts official business, drafting constituent correspondence, conducting policy research, and other administrative projects and duties as the intern's skill set and expertise grows. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and familiarity with the legislative process in Texas and the prominent issues and political dynamics of the state. The ideal candidate will have clerical, secretarial, or managerial experience from working in an office setting. Individuals with a willingness to take initiative and a forward-thinking mentality are encouraged to apply. This internship offers the opportunity to engage with constituents and policymakers while developing a professional skillset and network within State government.
