Job Description: 
Overview: Knaupe Government Relations is a lobby firm representing major organizations in the areas of health care, government, and energy, among others. What you will be doing for Knaupe G R: Policy & Lobbying Internship: The Intern will support the Policy & Lobbying team’s efforts to advocate for our clients during the Texas 85th legislative session in Texas. Your responsibilities will include: • Conducting research on specific bills, issues, and voting records; • Write and develop advocacy materials to be presented to legislators; • Attending committee hearings and issue briefings and writing reports on these meetings; • Delivering materials to Legislative offices; • Assisting Gregg Knaupe in preparing for meetings with elected officials, policy makers, and clients; • Other duties as assigned; • 20-30 hours per week, $10.00 per hour. Qualifications: Education: Current students enrolled in four year college or university. Skills: Good communicator; strong writing, research, and editing skills; experience in word processing and spreadsheets. Capabilities: Solid judgment; critical thinking skills; self-starter; attentive to detail; a sense of teamwork; ability to handle multiple tasks.
