The chart shows the trend in the Republican percentage of all contributions to Democratic and Republican candidates for seats in the U.S. House of Representatives nationally from 1980-2002. Minority Republicans received less than 50% of contributions until 1994 when they won the majority. The new Republican majority now receives more than 50% of all contributions.
