This table presents the list produced annually by the Texas Comptroller's Office of the 100 largest private sector employers operating in the state. Employers are listed alphabetically within broad industrial category groupings. After each firm's name in column one, column two identifies its headquarters location, and column three gives a brief description of the nature of its business operations. The large majority of companies are not headquartered in Texas though, of those that are, particular concentrations appear in the energy sector and the entertainment and travel sector.
