Digital and Data Internship

Governor Greg Abbott's campaign, Texans for Greg Abbott, is looking for a couple interns for the Fall semester! We currently have a Digital and Data Internship which is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in those fields. Some of the cool tasks our interns are asked to perform: - Writing social media copy for organic posts to over a million followers - Writing copy for paid ads on social media and search networks - Writing e-mails that go out to hundreds of thousands of subscribers - Create and edit pages on the website - Replying to citizen comments/questions/concerns on e-mail and Facebook - Monitor e-mail delivery, including open and click rates, opt out rates, and monitoring which email platforms are causing issues - Create graphics for social media, e-mail or website posts - Monitor data coming in from field staffers across the state - Learn SQL in order to run simple counts, match files and other database work - Work with SQL Databases to maintain and update the statewide voter file - Help analyze and report data coming in from local and statewide elections this fall Interns may also be required to perform other general intern tasks such as sorting mail or answering the telephone, though that is a small part of the overall internship. We are very flexible with students schedules and can generally fit in hours around your schedule. We ask that any applicant be willing to work at least 10-15 hours per week. We are located in Downtown Austin just a few blocks south of UT's campus.
