Field Organizer

The Vikki Goodwin Re-Election Campaign is seeking a part-time Field Director through the March Primary, moving into full-time in April for the November Election. October – March: ~10 hours/week, $15/hour, Contract/1099 (no benefits), Approximately $500-$700/month Tasks: • Prepare weekly block walking events and schedule upcoming block walks • Prepare materials for block walks • Learn how to use VAN and MiniVAN and train volunteers on systems • Learn how to use mapthe.vote and train volunteers • Work with the Travis County Democratic Party to register voters and GOTV • Call on and help Precinct Chairs organize their precincts • Prepare any training materials needed for volunteers • Buy snacks for volunteers as appropriate (to be reimbursed, ask about budget) • Attend block walking events with volunteers • Organize Phone/text banking • Coordinate with other candidates and their campaigns (as allowed) • Help Campaign Manager with finding people to host Meet & Greets • Assist Campaign Manager in coordinating and developing field plan • Any other tasks as needed April – November: ~40 hours/week, $15/hour, Approximately $2700/month Tasks: • Same as above, plus • Hire, organize, and supervise paid block walkers and phone bankers • Staff the SW Coordinated Campaign headquarters
