Internship

Internship with an Austin based lobby firm that represents mostly non-profit clients before the legislature and state agencies. Interns will write bill summaries of legislation introduced, update data bases, assist with legislative days for clients, prepare weekly reports for clients, assist with newsletter and administrative tasks as needed. Interns will not be registered as lobbyists but when appropriate will accompany lobbyists to meetings, hearings, etc. The intern will be supervised by the principals of the firm and will receive feedback on a frequent basis via in person meetings or Zoom calls.
