Job Description: 
This is a part-time internship for the Spring semester. It will begin immediately and last through the end of May. We are happy to work with students using this opportunity to fulfill class requirements. The internship will be paid $400 monthly, working an average of 40-50 hours per month. Specifically, we are looking for an individual who will work the hours of 8am-1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There may be additional hours added as the internship goes on, but if these hours do not fit within your availability, unfortunately, you need not apply. Job Responsibilities: -Conducts policy research & may analyze legislation -Assists with constituent correspondence (letters, faxes, in-person inquiries) -Manages CMS (constituent database) for the Capitol office (training provided) -Answers phones & greets office guests Requirements -Sincere interest in Texas government -Strong grammar/writing & editing skills -Research skills -Professionalism in demeanor & appearance -Dependable, trustworthy, honest, & friendly -Confidentiality
