Job Description: 
The Capitol Office of State Representative Eddie Morales, Jr. is offering one unpaid internship for the Summer and for the Fall of 2022 (if desired) to desiring undergraduate students. This internship is applicable for class credit if needed. The internship will be multifaced and fluid as it pertains to responsibilities, however, the main emphasis would be on constituent casework as well as assisting staff with projects. This internship will help you gain experience and knowledge of the legislative process, as well as teach you how to research legislation, develop policy positions, respond to constituent needs, and perform other tasks assigned. Job expectations are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the following skillset: • Interpersonal communication • Strong written communication • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and social networking websites including Facebook and Twitter • Strong organization skills • Ability to communicate via phone and email effectively and professionally • Ability to handle responsibility and be a reliable asset to the team. This is a part-time internship with an expectation of 10-20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling opportunities. It is preferred that we can coordinate a fixed weekly schedule.
