Job Description: 
Position Description The Research and Programs Fellow will conduct research on topics related to improving education in Texas and assist with programmatic initiatives. The majority of the fellow’s time will be spent supporting the Raising Texas Teachers program, an initiative intended to elevate the teaching profession in Texas. The fellow will join a fast-paced team focused on identifying and implementing solutions to improve public education in Texas. Responsibilities ● Provide staff with support in research and analysis of various topics, organizations and key players in the field, as requested. Topics may include federal and state K-12 policy, teacher preparation, Pre-K, and school funding and governance. ● Assist members of the Raise Your Hand Texas program staff with the implementation and operation of programs. ○ Interact with stakeholders, including prospective teachers, educators and university teacher preparation faculty. ○ Assist with the Charles Butt Scholarship application process and answering student questions. ● Assist in preparation of Raise Your Hand Texas events. ● Provide support on short- and long-term projects. ○ Update on-line databases
