(1) Initiating a Criminal Proceeding: (a) a law officer witnesses a crime; (b) a citizen reports a crime to an officer; (c) a grand jury, a law officer, or another official investigates whether a crime has occurred. (2) Arrest or Search warrants may not be required when: (a) An officer witnesses a crime (b) Evidence is easily moved or destroyed (c) An officer is in hot pursuit (d) A subject consents to a search (e) Circumstances are reasonably suspicious.
