This feature ranks House committees from the 78th Legislature (2003-2004) according to the amount of money committee chairmen raised from approximately Oct. 27, 2002 through Dec. 31, 2003. Chairmen of more important committees take in considerably more money commensurate with the greater power that they exercise in the legislature. The first column indicates each chair's home district. The second column names each chairperson while the third column identifies each chair's party affiliation and home town. The fourth column indicates the committee over which each chairperson presides while the fifth column reports the total contributions each chairperson received during the period.
