For each of a cross-section of large, medium-sized, and small Texas newspapers named in the first column, the table reports in the third column national advertising rates charged for a single Sunday full-page black and white political advertisement. The second column reports audited circulation figures for each newspaper's Sunday edition ranging from more than three-quarters of a million for the Dallas Morning News to just under five thousand for the Spanish language Brownsville El Nuevo Heraldo. Since color can be a valuable addition to news and advertising, the fourth column reports what each paper would charge for printing a full-page advertisement in color over and above the charges for a full-page black and white advertisement.
