In an effort to begin understanding the 2020 Election in Texas, the Texas Politics Project has collected unofficial election results from the 2020 Election as of November 6, 2020, and compared them to the results of recent Texas elections. These results are broken down by common conceptual (e.g. "The Big-6") and regional (e.g. the Dallas-Fort Worth region, including surrounding counties) aggregations. The "Top-of-Ticket" tables include presidential results for 2012, 2016, and 2020, but also 2018 gubernatorial election results for comparison, given the large increase in votes and relevant shift in vote share during that election. The senate tables include results for the 2020 and 2018 U.S. Senate Elections in Texas. Again, the 2020 results are unofficial, having been collected on November 4, 5, and 6 from either the Texas Secretary of State or the websites of individual county registrars. The index below links to tables for that geography.
