Second Reading Podcast: Unpacking Texas Views of Trump and the Economy with the Texas Politics Project Poll Team
May 06, 2025 | By: Texas Politics Project

Daron Shaw and Joshua Blank talk with James Henson about results in the April 2025 University of Texas / Texas Politics Project Poll, with a focus on how Texans view Donald Trump, the impact of the Trump administration's tariff policies, the public opinion dynamics around immigration and the economy, and some early (very early) indicators of the 2026 election in Texas. They also take on some legislative matters in a dealer's choice look at results each found particularly interesting.
