Job Description
Representative Lucio is seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong commitment to learning about the legislative process throughout the 86th Texas Legislative Session. Legislative interns will assist with bill analysis, research policy areas, work with constituents and legislative stakeholders, and conduct other general office duties. The internship would begin in early to mid-January and run through the rest of the legislative session in May. Start and end dates are flexible based on class schedules. It is preferred for interns to be available for 10-20 hours per week. Here are some skills preferred for this internship: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, developed writing skills, genuine interest in the legislative process, effective communication skills, and a high-regard for professionalism.
