AVG Consulting is a boutique public affairs firm based in Austin, TX, specializing in Advocacy and Communications. Our team of seasoned professionals boasts decades of experience in state and federal government, from Texas to Washington D.C. INTERNSHIP DATES

Immediate start dates available to July 1, 2025 (Texas Legislative Session)

HOURS & LOCATION:

• 15-20 hours per week | $14 per hour 

• Remote position based in Austin, TX 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in content creation and graphic design 

• Draft content for a variety of communications materials

• Help manage and monitor social media pages  

• Research topics for content development, clients, new projects, etc.

• Assist with client servicing and project management

• Copywriting and editing

• Help build coalitions for issue advocacy clients

• Assist with data management and project organization

• Outreach to potential allies for engagement on client issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Interest in advocacy and communications 

• Basic understanding of state/federal legislative processes 

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Creativity and passion with the ability to work and manage projects alone 

• Openness to learning and taking on new challenges

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
