Job Description
Position Overview Integrated Advocacy Solutions (IAS) is a consultancy based in Austin, Texas, which focuses on association and issue-oriented grassroots advocacy and strategy. At the local, state and federal levels, we help clients involve constituents in the policy process through various phases of designing and implementing grassroots advocacy programs, and provide strategic consulting services for issue-based policy change across a broad range of policy areas. The individual in the IAS Internship carries a variety of responsibilities centered on the development and maintenance of day-to-day advocacy operations for our clients, with additional components of long-term strategy development and planning for the program’s growth. IAS Internship participants are engaged in the following activities: Policy and legislative research on the state and federal level Campaign tracking, research, and data entry for election cycles Creation of strategic messages and corresponding writ materials Direct outreach, organization and engagement of constituents in various advocacy activities Event planning and coordination Constituent research and database organization Strategic planning for advocacy and communications campaigns Social media engagement Various administrative tasks Essential Job Requirements Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work independently, finish tasks in a timely manner, and communicate effectively with high level constituents. Applicants must be able to navigate a non-partisan political environment while handling sensitive and confidential information. Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and competency with Microsoft Office suite of products are necessary. Some experience with the Texas Legislature, policy, and advocacy are required. This is a paid part-time internship position. Working hours will be set upon hire, but can range anywhere between 10-25 hours per week. This position will continue through June 2025. This internship may be occasionally remote, but office time throughout the week is also expected.
