Job Description
Texas Capitol legislative office intern. Part-time/full-time options. In-person for the duration the 87th Interim. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Answering constituent phone calls; • Sorting and distributing mail; • Logging constituent requests and concerns in legislative correspondence database; • Research and writing assistance; • Circulating news clips; and • Other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications: The position is open to all undergraduate and graduate students; prior employment in an office setting is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate: • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills; • Is proficient in Microsoft Office programs; • Is organized, focused, and able to multi-task; • Completes tasks efficiently and thoroughly with close attention to detail; and • Maintains workplace decorum and confidentiality.
