Communications & Community Engagement Fellow (Unpaid Internship)
Transit Forward is a nonprofit working to expand access to safe, reliable, and equitable public transit across Central Texas. We educate the community about Project Connect, build partnerships that strengthen support for transit, and uplift the voices of riders and advocates.

We’re seeking a motivated, community-minded fellow to support our communications and engagement work. Key responsibilities include assisting with event planning and logistics, drafting and scheduling social media content, and helping produce our monthly newsletters. This role is ideal for someone passionate about public transit, storytelling, and community building. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in public policy communications, outreach strategy, and local advocacy.

Internship to start January 2026 for the Spring Semester with the possibility to continue into Summer and potential for paid opportunities.
