Job Description:
The Office of Dean Senator Judith Zaffirini is seeking Communications Interns for her State Capitol office. Communications Interns will assist the Communication Director with graphic design, e-newsletters, social media content, and speechwriting. The work schedule is flexible; however, candidates must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Applicants may apply for the summer term, with the possibility of continuing through future semesters.

Preferred Qualifications:
·       Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and Illustrator) and Canva
·       Excellent writing and oral communication skills
·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
·       Professional appearance and attire
·       Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction
·       Personal accountability and reliability

Responsibilities:
·       Drafting social media posts and creating digital graphics
·       Developing e-newsletters
·       Assisting with preparation of the Dean Senator’s speeches
·       Supporting other communications-related tasks as assigned
