Job Description:
The Office of Dean Senator Judith Zaffirini is seeking Communications Interns for her State Capitol office. Communications Interns will assist the Communication Director with graphic design, e-newsletters, social media content, and speechwriting. The work schedule is flexible; however, candidates must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Internship will run from September 1st to December 19th.

Preferred Qualifications:
·       Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and Illustrator) and Canva.
·       Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
·       Professional appearance and attire.
·       Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction.
·       Personal accountability and reliability.
Responsibilities:
·       Drafting social media posts and creating digital graphics.
·       Developing e-newsletters.
·       Assisting with preparation of the Dean Senator’s speeches.
·       Supporting other communications-related tasks as assigned.
