Communications Internship - Office of State Senator Brent Hagenbuch

The Office of State Senator Brent Hagenbuch is seeking a communications intern to join our team and work closely with the Communications Director on various key projects.

 This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in political communications while learning the inner workings of the Texas Legislature. Interns will assist with managing the Senator’s social media accounts, helping to create content that is engaging, informative, and reflective of the Senator’s message and values. They will also play a key role in producing and managing the office newsletter, contributing to content development, editing, and distribution. In addition, interns will assist in drafting press releases on legislative developments, community events, and other important issues, while ensuring consistent messaging and professional quality. This role requires someone adaptable, reliable, and eager to learn. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. While communications will be the primary focus, interns will also have the opportunity to observe the legislative process and gain a deeper understanding of how public policy is shaped in Texas. This is a valuable opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in political science, communications, journalism, or public policy who are looking to build their skills and grow their professional network.
