Congressional Internship
U.S. Senator John Cornyn is currently accepting applications for an in-person internship for the fall in his Austin office, which oversees Central Texas community outreach. An intern could be expected to handle, sort, and log-incoming calls, conduct research, help draft letters and summary briefs, and assist staff with work as assigned, such as administrative and logistical support. Completed application packets are due on July 4, 2025. In order to apply for an internship, students must have graduated from high school and completed at least one semester of college classes.
In addition to a completed Internship Application Form, students must submit:
- Resume
- Official college transcript
- Two letters of recommendation
- Essays: Typed, double-spaced 12-point font, 400 word minimum per essay.
