About the Campaign

Robin Lerner is a highly experienced and visionary lifelong public servant, having worked for the Obama administration and traveled the world on behalf of the U.S. Government. As an Austin resident who is eager to bring her policymaking expertise to bear on the critical issues this city faces, she is running for the Texas House of Representatives, District 49 and needs your help! This campaign is built on a foundation of audacity and authentic connection, aiming to elect a representative with a deep track record of advocacy in higher education, human rights, and community empowerment.

We view this digital team as a chance to build a blueprint for the future of politics in this great state—not just for this race, but for cycles to come. We seek students who want to directly influence what future campaigns adopt as best practices and tackle pressing state issues such as affordable housing, AI and job insecurity, and public education funding with a fresh, bold perspective.

Interns will receive:

  • A strong letter of recommendation from the candidate and senior staff.

  • Support to secure academic credit or internship scholarship funds.

  • Direct mentorship from the Campaign Manager and Campaign leadership team (and potentially even the candidate).

  • Real responsibility and portfolio-building experience.
