Agwan for U.S. Congress is seeking committed, energetic individuals to join our fall fellowship and contribute to our field and campaign operation. This opportunity is paid at $17 per hour and responsibilities include: ● Recruit and train volunteers to participate in the political process ● Operate canvassing software (VAN) and target voters through turf planning ● Attend political events throughout the district: Debates, neighborhood meetings, rallies, and more ● Organize; schedule; and participate in voter outreach: blockwalks, phonebanks, and community events for voter registration Campaign fellows will be trained and mentored throughout the fellowship by experienced professionals and campaign staffers. Campaign fellows will gain first-hand experience and exposure to political campaigning at a congressional level and will leave with lasting connections and meaningful communication and organizing skills. Requirements ● Committed to work 20 hours per week starting August 28th - December 16th ● Demonstrate an interest in politics and political campaigns ● Willingness to learn from others and ability to communicate directly with campaign staff ● Respectfully represent the campaign both in-person and online, including social media profiles and pages ● Campaign fellows should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated ● Excellent written and oral communication skills
