Field Organizer – Re-Elect Zo Qadri for Austin City Council

Location: Travis County, TX (In-person)
Pay: $20/hour
Hours: 15 – 40 hours/week (flexible; includes evenings and weekends as needed)
Start Date: Rolling / ASAP

About the Campaign
As Austin’s first South Asian City Councilmember, Zo Qadri has brought results to District 9. Since 2023, he’s advanced affordability reforms, safer streets, renter protections and equitable transit. During his first term, Zo and his wife welcomed their son Eesa, an experience that deepened his commitment to building a livable, accessible, and just Austin for every family and future generation. He’s running for re-election in 2026 to build on that record — and continue fighting for a more just and inclusive Austin.

Position Overview
The Field Organizer will play a key role in building and executing a high-impact, in-person voter contact program. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated, organized, and excited to work directly with voters, volunteers, and community leaders in Austin’s District 9.

This is a flexible, hourly position with opportunities for increased responsibility based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for canvassing, phonebanks, and voter outreach

  • Conduct direct voter contact, including door-to-door canvassing and tabling

  • Help plan and execute field events, including canvasses and community outreach

  • Track and report voter contact data accurately using campaign tools

  • Support voter registration and GOTV efforts

  • Represent the campaign professionally in the community

  • Assist with other campaign field needs as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Comfortable engaging voters from diverse backgrounds

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Reliable transportation and ability to work in the field, outdoors

  • Prior campaign or organizing experience preferred but not required
