Job Description
The Meg Walsh for Texas Senate District 5 campaign is recruiting individuals to serve as Organizing Fellows for the fall. Organizing Fellows will work directly with the campaign’s staff and field program, and will gain valuable experience on how to engage voters and organize activists in their communities. This is a great opportunity for those with an interest in politics, campaigns, and community outreach. Candidates for this position must be comfortable interacting on the phone, at events/rallies, or when blockwalking door-to-door. The work environment varies from day to day, as campaign focuses change to meet current needs. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate superb communication skills, are friendly, outgoing and approachable, are flexible and adaptable, and will quickly learn the technology we use to identify, contact, and turn out voters. Organizing Fellows will have the opportunity to work on a part time basis (up to 20 hours per week). The opportunity runs from September 1 through November 6. We can work with your school to arrange for college credit or community service hours, as well as act as references for future jobs and write letters of recommendation.
