Job Description: 
Access Education RRISD is a local, grassroots organization of engaged, concerned Round Rock ISD parents and community members organizing locally. We believe that public education can and should support the common good as well as each individual student. Our efforts are guided by our values: Safe Access for All, Equitable Practices, Student Outcomes, Community Voice, and Data-Driven Decisions. We are building our teams for the upcoming fall 2024 school board election, and are looking for a number of interns to work with our volunteer staff to gain experience in the political campaign field. These positions are primarily remote, with the opportunity to join local in-person events, but in-person attendance is not mandatory. We are currently seeking a group (3-5) of motivated and detail-oriented Fundraising Interns to join our team. You will assist in organizing and implementing various fundraising campaigns and events throughout the year, helping to secure vital support for our organization's mission. Key Responsibilities - Organize Call Time: Manage the scheduling of calling hours, ensuring optimal use of time to connect with potential donors, answer questions, and provide information about our work. - Assist in Summer and Fall Fundraisers: Aid in the planning and execution of our summer and fall fundraising events, including coordination of logistics, communications, and follow-ups. - Manage Silent Auction: Play a significant role in setting up and managing the silent auction at our fundraiser; this includes securing auction items, handling bid sheets, and coordinating auction logistics. - Sponsor Management: Assist in identifying and contacting potential sponsors aligned with our organization's mission and values. - Collaborate with the Communications Team: Work closely with the communications team to plan and execute social media fundraisers. This will involve creating engaging social media content and communicating with donors and supporters online. Qualifications - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Creative problem-solver, capable of thinking critically and innovatively - Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, fundraising principles and practices - Basic understanding of social media platforms and their use for promotional purposes - Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team By joining us as a Fundraising Intern, you'll be making a significant contribution to our cause, while gaining valuable work experience in the field of nonprofit fundraising.
