Job Description: 
Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA) is seeking a legislative intern for the Fall 2024 & Spring 2025 semesters, including the upcoming 89th legislative session (Jan to May 2025). The ideal candidate is passionate, hard-working, and highly organized and has strong written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Previous legislative experience is preferred. 20 hours/week minimum is preferred. Central Duties include: • Program Administration: for RHCA Training and Development Programs • Business Development and Training • Legislative and Public Policy o Assist in producing templates, follow-up calls, and tracking legislative bills o Analyze bills, write bill summaries, update tracking spreadsheet, communicate bill progress o Conduct research and write summary briefs on policy issues o Monitor and report on committee hearings and floor debate o Draft testimony, fact sheets, end-of-session reports, and other materials as necessary • RHCA Committee Meetings: Assist in producing agendas, minutes and organizing meetings • Marketing and Outreach: Contact agencies, organizations, and companies • Database Management: Organization and maintain an updated database with key information • Local meeting and program attendance, as required, must provide own transportation • Travel: Some travel as needed (must have vehicle for transportation) Learn more about the RHCA: www.regionalhca.org
