Job Description

Texas Governor’s Internship Program will: •Give students an overview of state government by working closely with staff in the Office of the Governor. •Provide students with experience in a working office environment. •Enhance appreciation of public service. Interns are assigned to work with the Governor’s staff. Internship may be available in the following offices: •Administration •Aerospace and Aviation •Appointments •Budget, Planning and Policy •Communications •Support Serv./Computer Services •Committee on People with Disabilities •Correspondence & Constituent Communication •Criminal Justice •Economic Development and Tourism •Financial Services •General Counsel •Human Resources •Legislative Office •Press Office •Scheduling •Texas Film Commission •Texas Military Preparedness Commission •Texas Music Office •Texas Workforce Investment Council •Women's Commission

Application Instructions

Current students or recent graduates from an accredited college or university. Positions are typically 20 hours per week (8 a.m. - 12 Noon or 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.). All positions are volunteer. Application Instructions: Fellowships are unpaid and are available to both college students and recent graduates.
