Position: Legislative Intern Location: 1001 Congress Ave, directly in front of the Texas Capitol, Austin, TX Duration: January 2025 - May 2025 Organization: Republican Jobs Description: Republican Jobs is seeking interns to support our office near the Texas Capitol. Interns will engage in a range of activities including research, assisting in helping host our local networking events, tracking political staff movements around the country, and contributing to various projects. This is a dynamic role offering direct exposure to the legislative process and event coordination. Responsibilities: Conduct detailed research related to ongoing legislation and policy issues. Assist in organizing and managing six local events scheduled during the legislative session. Track political staff and their activities to support office logistics. Participate in a variety of projects as needed, offering support across multiple areas. Work with new and innovative AI tools. Schedule: The internship requires a commitment of 1-2 days per week. Specific days and hours will be coordinated to fit both office needs and intern availability. School always come first! Qualifications: Current undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in government, political science, public administration, or a related field. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in event management or political campaigns is advantageous but not required.
