Job Description
Representative Joe C. Pickett is seeking a responsible and highly motivated individual with an interest in state government and public policy to assist with certain legislative activities for the Transportation Committee. This is a part-time opportunity requiring the individual to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week. • Conduct legislative research relating to Transportation during the legislative session • Contact stakeholders, draft bill language, and produce bill fact sheets • Meet with constituents regarding Transportation-related issues and assist with Transportation-related constituent casework • Provide regular updates on Transportation legislation related matters to the Chief Committee Clerk. Must be able to attend committee hearings and assist before, during, and after the hearing.
