Job Description
The Austin capitol office of state Senator José R. Rodríguez is seeking current students for an internship during the fall 2018 semester. Interns will gain experience in a legislative office during the interim in the fall, and during session in the spring. The position requires the ability to perform and manage a number of diverse activities, including writing a variety of documents, analyzing proposals, performing research, and meeting with stakeholders. A strong interest in public service, good judgment, independent thinking, and a high degree of resourcefulness and professionalism are critical to the successful management of a fellow's responsibilities. Please note, candidates should be available a minimum of 15 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship. Applicants are encouraged to seek class credit.
