Job Description
The office of State Representative Giovanni Capriglione is seeking a legislative intern for the upcoming 89th Legislative Session, specifically with availability Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00am to 12:00pm. This staff position is crucial to the success of the office, and will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:
• Legislative research -- organizing and tracking bill recommendations and fliers, attending meetings, hearings, and briefings, etc.
• Assisting with office duties -- answering phone calls, greeting guests, meeting with special interest groups, etc.
• Some administrative tasks -- using the Correspondence Management System, coordinating meeting requests, sorting mail, etc.
• Supporting the office staff in various requests.
Dates for the internship are as soon as possible through Monday, June 2, 2025.
Applicants must be proactive, responsible, professional, and detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills, and an interest in the legislative process. Ideal candidates will be able to work well under pressure and be self-motivated. Preference will be given to those applicants who can fill the hours of 8:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
