Position: Part-Time Legislative Intern
Location: Austin, Texas
Semester: Fall 2024 (Opportunity to continue through the 89th Legislative Session, starting January 2025)
Overview:
The Office of State Representative Dennis Paul is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for a part-time legislative intern position for the Fall 2024 semester. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in state government and
Responsibilities:
• Assist with legislative research and documentation
• Support the preparation of materials for legislative sessions
• Engage with constituents and help address their concerns
• Manage scheduling and coordination tasks
• Utilize legislative applications and systems
Requirements:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong interest in state government and legislative processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Professional demeanor and punctuality
