Job Description
Team Michelle Vallejo for Congress is seeking Organizing Fellows to work on this competitive and targeted congressional race. Organizing Fellows will be responsible for helping the organizing team plan and manage a large scale voter contact operation. Responsibilities Include: *Assist field organizers in recruiting, managing, and training volunteers to participate in direct voter contact, including but not limited to door-to-door canvassing, high traffic canvassing, voter registration, and relational organizing. * Assist the organizing team as a whole to keep and maintain a strong data operation. * Other department responsibilities as needed. Skills and Qualifications: * No previous organizing experience is required. * Commitment to progressive values. *Strong ability to build relationships and foster a positive team culture. *Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. *Access to a vehicle or other, reliable means of transportation. *Willingness to learn the intricacies of a federal campaign. *Ability to work in person 15 hours a week. The following are not required but would be beneficial: *Experience using votebuilder *Campaign experience in Texas or Rio Grande Valley *Fluency in Spanish *Ties to the Rio Grande Valley or South Texas
