Love liberty? Want to defend it? The Texas Public Policy Foundation is in search of intern candidates prepared to push the boundaries of non-profit policy and engagement. We are looking to you to support our focus in the production and dissemination of research, and to assist in our extensive engagement efforts. All of our interns leave our Foundation with a solid understanding of all the work we do: our outreach, policy positions, and our work to change Texas, and the nation, for the better. Policy Interns will be assigned to a policy-center director or policy analyst. They will: • Work directly under a policymakers in a mentorship capacity • Engage in regular policy discussions, • Conduct in-depth research, and • Receive extensive feedback on your written product • Have multiple opportunities to be published Payment for part-time interns (15-hour minimum) is $500 for the semester and $1000 for the semester for full-time interns (40-hour minimum). Successful Interns The most successful applicants are open-minded and hardworking, with good research, writing, and interpersonal skills, and are excited to see first-hand the unique constraints faced by a non-profit in our efforts to reshape public policy in Texas and around the world.
