Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about the public affairs world during the 2025 Legislative Session. As an intern at Public Blueprint, you will gain experience in each of our core service areas: government relations, grassroots outreach, communications, and digital advocacy. However, we do encourage you to familiarize yourself with our core service areas and identify which you are most interested in so we can ensure you get as much out of the experience as possible. Given that the internship will take place during the Legislative Session, we are looking for an intern who is good with managing multiple deadlines and can work well under pressure.
Intern Responsibilities:
• Fulfill tasks set out by supervisors from different departments
• Attend meetings and listen in on phone calls, take notes
• Perform research, attend events, complete written assignments at supervisor's request
• Assist with printing collaterals and distributing them to Capitol staff
Intern Requirements:
• Rising Junior or above (recent grads also welcome)
• Eager to learn and work with various capacities in the company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask
• Able to work two days a week in our Austin, Texas office
Hours & Rate:
• January – May 2025
• 12-14 hours per week, in-office
• Flat-rate pay: $1,000 per month
