Research & Data Intern (Unpaid Internship)

Transit Forward is a nonprofit working to expand access to safe, reliable, and equitable public transit across Central Texas. We educate the community about Project Connect, build partnerships that strengthen support for transit, and uplift the voices of riders and advocates.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Research & Data Intern to support our policy, data, and impact work. Key responsibilities include researching transit and mobility trends, compiling data for reports and presentations, tracking local policy developments, and supporting our Data & Impact Committee. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analysis, policy research, and translating complex information into clear insights. Interns will gain hands-on experience in transit policy, data storytelling, and nonprofit impact measurement.

Internship to start January 2026 for the Spring semester with potential to extend into Summer and for paid opportunities.
