Summer and/or Fall Internship with Austin Lobby firm.

The internship is with Arnold Public Affairs (APA), a lobby firm in Austin, that advocates on behalf of its clients before the legsilature and state agencies.  APA was established in 1999 and is recognized for its work, particularly for non-profit organizations.  

The intern will assist the principal of the firm in doing the following:

1-keeping up with legislative and state agency news

2-monitoring and reporting on interim committee hearings

3-assisting in setting up meetings with legislative and agency offices

4-participating in client calls

5-conduting surveys with selected legislative staff

6-reading introduced bills

7-other duties as assigned
